Left Behind is a movie depicting the Rapture and other later Biblical events. Four main characters, Buck Williams (Kirk Cameron), Rayford (Ray) Steele (Brad Johnson), Chloe Steele (Janaya Stephens), and Bruce Barnes (Clarence Gilyard, Jr.), traverse these events separately and eventually together as one team.
Buck, Ray, and Chloe were non-believers, while Bruce was a pastor who didn’t fully believe. The world was turned upside down when the Rapture occurred, and many theories were given to explain the sudden disappearance of people and children.
This movie wonderfully shows how the various leaders carved out the ten sections of the world to rule the world.
The antichrist showed himself and took control of the world after explaining the reason for the sudden disappearance of people. Of course, he didn’t give the Biblical explanation. He committed several crimes to solidify his control of the United Nations and the world.
Buck, Ray, and Chloe become believers through different personal events during the film, and Bruce has an epiphany when he is not raptured to heaven.
Overall, they join together to try to stop or at least slow down the antichrist and bring the truth about him to the world.
The rating for this movie is appropriate for everyone to watch it, even though it’s rated PG-13. You can have your 10-12-year-old watch this movie as long you have the Biblical foundation to fully explain the truths of the Rapture events with their true implications.
I recommend this movie. I hope you will enjoy it and encourage your faith.
