Unidentified was a movie depicting aliens visiting different people in Gatland, Texas, north of Houston. Two reporters, Keith and Brad, from a magazine called “Both Sides,” started investigating those alien visitations. Keith was reporting from the side of the true existence of aliens, while Brad was reporting from the hoax side dealing with aliens. Keith is a Christian, while Brad is not at all. During their initial investigation, the people who were visited didn’t want to talk about it. The magazine editor told the reporters to continue their investigation and present a teaser in their next issue.
Within a few days, there were more visitations from those aliens. The editor sent them to Louisiana and Gatland, Texas. Through their second inquiry, they discovered government people questioned the victims and told them to keep quiet about their abduction.
After the magazine published the introduction teaser of their UFO series, Keith received a letter from William, a concerned reader. William asked to meet with Keith to give him more insight into those UFO visitations and abductions. During their meeting, William informed Keith about some secret OPS investigating and encouraging UFO sightings. William was a Christian, giving Keith proper insight into the current situation.
Brad confronted several reporters about whether they had received Jesus in their lives. Darren told him you will go to Hell if you don’t accept Jesus Christ as your Savior. The nonbelieving reporters said they didn’t believe or accept Jesus, while Darren said he did. As for Keith, he said he wasn’t sure. Of course, this surprised Darren, and he confronted Keith. After that discussion and soul-searching, Keith recommitted his life to Jesus Christ.
The rating for this movie is appropriate since there are only weird noises and lights to illustrate the abductions. No inappropriate words are spoken throughout the movie.
There is a humorous but poignant scene that nonbelievers should notice at the end of the movie.
Overall, this was a good Christian Sci-fi movie that dispels the UFO sightings and alerts us that Jesus Christ’s return is imminent. One other point: Darren and Keith continued reporting the various UFO sightings and even prayed with one of the victims. They did the sinner’s prayer, which was inappropriate because the new believer had to say it in his own words. There is no sinner’s prayer in the Bible.
I recommend this movie based on this simple story and the effective ministry tool for nonbelievers. I hope you will enjoy it and encourage your faith.
